I am just finishing up my seventh year as Superintendent of Grace Lutheran Schools in Huntington Beach, CA. I’m excited to be moving to Shanghai, China this summer to serve at middle school principal at Concordia International School, a preschool – 12 grade school serving expat students. I have been in education for over 20 years as a classroom teacher, school principal, school superintendent, university instructor and have served on many accreditation teams for WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). I earned a masters in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University, Irvine and an Ed.D in Private School Administration from Concordia University, Chicago. A passion for me as an educator has been working at the school and university level preparing our teachers to meet the needs of today’s learners. I believe we need to inspire our children to love learning and to follow their passions, as we follow ours.
...my journey as a learner ultimately leading to a superintendent position to empower and inspire 21st Century learning. I believe we need to inspire our kids to follow their passions, while letting them inspire us to do the same.
